Summary: 4 snowmobilers caught and buried, 1 killed

A snowmobiler died in an avalanche in the Snowy Range in

Southeast, Wyoming on Wednesday afternoon January 2, 2008.

Dale Wagner was with a group of eight snowmobilers from

Miller, South Dakota. He is believed to have been in his

40's. They were reported to have been in the French Creek

Darainage area. Four of the riders were halfway up a

hillside when they were caught in an avalanche. The other

four members of the party were near the base of the slope

and dug out three survivors. The victim was also uncovered

but did not survive.
